Mirabell Palace & Gardens

Mirabell Palace was a gift from a prince archbishop to the lady he loved

One of the most precious parts of the palace that was built in 1606 is its marble stairway. The sculptures found in the niches are masterpieces and among the most beautiful creations of the European baroque era. The halls inside the palace are also amply decorated and beautiful to look at.

Today, the marble hall - in which Mozart also performed, among others - is regarded as one of the "most beautiful wedding halls in the world". There are also conferences, tributes and concerts regularly held here.

The palace is definitely worth a visit and the Mirabell gardens provide the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the sunshine. Also, one of the oldest hedge theatres can be visited here, free of charge.
